Thinking ahead to August 2011
Five Day Plein Air Workshop on Little Cranberry Island, ME
Sue Charles, Instructor
Come to Maine's Acadia National Park, stay in a B & B on Little Cranberry Island, and paint the sublime landscape, a favorite of artists since the Hudson River School painters Thomas Cole and Frederick Church made it famous. The Charles's family has renovated a 1952 picnic boat, which will be used for on-board painting expeditions around the Great Harbor and many islands.
Sue has 8 years experience teaching plein air painting and the workshop will include demonstrations, lessons and critques. Tuition includes 4 nights at The Colonels, a beautiful antique harborview with 9 unique bedrooms, 3 bathrooms, fully equipped, fully stocked kitchen (for breakfast and lunch), living room and dining room. Tuition includes a glorious lobster bake with steamers, corn on the cob and blueberry shortcake. On three nights the class will dine at the famous Islesford Dock Restaurant (cost not included).
Workshop is limited to 8 students.
